Gareth Lonie is a professional in government affairs and policy with experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Gareth has worked for the leading trade association of civil engineers in the UK and served as the secretary for the All-Party Parliament Group on Building Communities. Gareth also contributed to the UK Government’s National Infrastructure Commission, advising on strategies to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions.

Most recently, Gareth led public affairs for Drax, a FTSE250 renewable energy company in Scotland. There, he played a pivotal role in securing government approval for the first pumped hydro storage power station in 40 years.

Gareth holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics from The University of Stirling and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the United Nations University in the Netherlands.
