John Brenton is a former Australian diplomat and served in the United States of America under the leadership of Hon Kim Beazley AC, a former Leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). John leads TG Public Affairs national team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the firm delivers the highest quality advice to clients and stakeholders. 

John advises the boards and management teams of some of Australia’s and the world’s largest multinational companies to help solve complex public policy issues.  He is also an expert in crisis management and stakeholder relations. 

Given John’s background in foreign policy, he leads on defence and national security issues for the firm and advises several defence primes and local businesses. He also specialises in government tenders, having designed and executed campaigns which assisted clients win major government contracts, particularly in the health, infrastructure and defence sectors. 

He has substantial commercial experience gained from over a decade working in executive roles in both the public and private sectors. John has a Master’s Degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Commerce.
