How we work

Each of the Principals of TG Public Affairs contributes a background in national public service and within the private sector at a senior level. Their formidable range of contacts extends throughout Australia’s governments, at both state and federal levels, party organisations of all political persuasions, peak industry bodies and major corporations.

All work is undertaken on a team basis with Principals and staff playing a direct and hands-on role in pursuing client goals. We work with our clients to create tailored strategies that incorporate our public and industry insights, sound policy advice and effective advocacy to achieve their commercial objectives. We successfully deploy these strategies by utilising our extensive political and senior bureaucratic networks and garnering strong support for the client’s desired outcomes.

We are relationship-centric, in respect to both our clients and those we deal with in government. Our view is that effective engagement requires cumulative effort, with trust and candour needing to develop over time. Many of our senior staff are based in Canberra and are in constant touch with political offices.

We will provide ongoing feedback on issues being discussed and policy options being considered within government. We have proven success in assisting clients in sectors as diverse as defence, resources, innovation, media and telecommunications, financial services, the environment and academia.
